2025 in Lithuania

On June 20, 2025, the Norwegian Dawn cruise stopped at the port of Klaipėda, Lithuania:

This made it my:

• 39th country
• 1st time in Lithuania
• last (3rd) Baltic country

I didn't visit much of the port city of Klaipėda. Instead, I took a cruise-sponsored excursion to Plokštine missile base (about 2 hours northeast of Klaipėda), a former Soviet nuclear weapons site (as the cruise line advertised!) located in the open-air Cold War Museum.

The excursion also provided a Lithuanian lunch with cold pink beet soup (šaltbarščiai) and potato dumplings (cepalinai), alongside some local Šyvturys beer!
